Dr. Marc Montgomery opened his Woodbury practice in 1986, the year he graduated from the University of Minnesota. Decades later he hand-selected Dr. Stacey Wolken to join him, and today the two of them collaborate on almost every case.

AACD accreditation takes a written exam, five complex clinical cases graded by a panel of examiners, and an oral examination. When Dr. Montgomery earned it in May 2006, he joined only six other dentists in Minnesota and 410 worldwide. Fellowship, in 2015, meant meeting the same standard for 45 more patients.

Dental insurance

We help you file your insurance claims, and process most dental insurance plans. The team works to maximize your benefits and minimize your out-of-pocket costs.

Flexible financing

Cherry splits the cost of treatment into smaller monthly payments, and is open to Dr. Wolken’s patients now, with Dr. Montgomery’s coming soon. CareCredit is available too.

In-house membership plan

For patients without insurance. One flat fee covers your basic care for the year, with discounts on most other services, including some regular insurance does not cover. Call the office to learn more.

Common questions

What people ask before they book.

Do you take my dental insurance?

We process most dental insurance plans and file the claims for you, working to maximize your benefits and keep your out-of-pocket costs down. If you have a question about your plan, call the office and the team will look into it with you.

I do not have dental insurance. What are my options?

Our in-house membership plan was made for exactly that. One flat fee covers your basic care for the year and gives you discounts on most other services, including some that regular insurance does not cover. Financing through Cherry or CareCredit can also split larger treatment into monthly payments.

Which dentist will I see?

If you are coming for cosmetic dentistry, your consultation is with Dr. Montgomery. For general or complete dentistry you will see Dr. Wolken, with our assistants and hygienists. The two dentists collaborate on almost every case, so you get the thinking of both.

I get nervous at the dentist. Can you help?

Yes. Choose from the comfort menu every visit: a blanket, a warm towel, headphones, serene videos, earplugs or essential oils. We also offer every method of dental sedation, administered by a certified anesthesiologist who comes into the office.

Do you place dental implants here?

We coordinate your whole implant journey. A top specialist we work with places the implant, and after four to six months of healing we take a digital impression, design your new tooth with a trusted laboratory and place it here.

When should my child be checked for orthodontics?

From around seven years old. Sometimes early intervention or a developmental appliance now avoids a serious problem later, and we partner with local specialists for Phase I orthodontic care.

How soon does Invisalign show results?

Some patients see a noticeable improvement as early as six weeks in. Aligners are worn at least 22 hours a day, and you move to a new set about every two weeks until you reach your final result.
